Mold Inspection in Lake Forest CA

Lake Forest Mold Inspection

Mold Inspection is important because it will bring to light some of the hidden issues you may not even be aware of within your home. Mold is a sort of fungus that can become airborne, and settles on wet or damp surfaces both outside and inside of the home. The spores from the fungus inside a home can often cause many health problems, ranging from dermatitis, allergies, headaches, asthma, sinus problems, fatigue, emphysema, eye irritation, dizziness, and confusion. The areas where mold is most prevalent aren’t just in the bathroom, but also the kitchen, attics and basement. Having a mold inspection is important for a home or property owner because older buildings can often have more places for the mold to thrive. Newer homes may also have mold, but it is more likely in the older buildings due to leaks and different areas of dampness.

What Mold Removal and Mold Inspections Are All About

When the company arrives on site, they bring with them tools that will aid in performing a proper mold inspection, and without the use of these tools a proper mold inspection can’t be done: thermal imaging cameras, hygrometers, moisture meters, air sampling machines, mold swabs, but most off all certified and experience.

The combination of tools along with a trained, experienced and certified mold removal & remediation inspector are necessary to determine the right scope of work needed to complete the mold removal and remediation work safely and effectively. Also to identify the causes of the mold and determine the best way to fix the issues and problems that caused the mold.

Mold can be cleaned or wiped down in some cases, depending on the surface, or how deep the mold has penetrated ( i.e. – on a window that has no organic material you can see mold growth due to dust and condensation, this can usually be wiped down with soap and water), but if there is any doubt, call the people that got professional training and certification, have learned everything there is to know and have experience with mold inspection and removal.

Inspections should have pictures that they can share with you from previous sites so you can see what expert set ups are necessary in a proper mold removal and remediation project. Also to get a proper idea of what you can expect throughout the process of mold removal. Videos of ice or soda blasting are also available.

Your mold remediation company should keep you updated throughout the mold removal process, and provide you with pictures and a written report of your mold removal project. They can also provide a completion report when the project is finished.

Lake Forest, CA

Lake Forest is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 77,264 at the 2010 census. Lake Forest incorporated as a city on December 20, 1991. Since being incorporated, it has expanded its limits to include the communities of Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills. Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills are master planned developments that brought new homes and commercial centers to the Eastern boundary of Lake Forest throughout the 1990s. Lake Forest (along with its neighboring cities Mission Viejo and Irvine) is ranked as one of the safest cities in the country. The private research firm Morgan Quitno ranked Lake Forest as the 15th safest city and another firm later ranked Lake Forest 10th in 2007 in the United States. The city has two lakes from which the city gets its name. The lakes are man-made, and condominiums and custom homes ranging from large to small line their shores. The Lake Forest Beach and Tennis Club and Sun and Sail Club feature tennis courts, gyms, basketball courts, barbecue pits, volleyball courts, multiple swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs and club houses for social events. The “forest” for which the city is also named lies in the area between Ridge Route, Jeronimo, Lake Forest and Serrano roads, and consists mostly of Eucalyptus trees. It began in the 1900s when a local landowner, Dwight Whiting, planted 400 acres (1.6 km2) of Eucalyptus groves in the vicinity of Serrano Creek as part of a lumber operation. In the late 1960s, the Occidental Petroleum company developed a residential community in and around the Eucalyptus groves which had long since expanded and grown much more dense.
